Meet Our Team

  • Brian Muir, P.Eng.

Brian’s career began in Vancouver in 1990 as electronics engineer in high tech before settling into a ten-year run at Creo Products Limited in Burnaby.

In 2007 he and his family moved to the Comox Valley and Brian began Muir Engineering. Since then, and through a steady stream of contracts, he has developed a diverse set of expertise: high voltage design, interior and exterior lighting, fire alarm, communications and security, patient care wiring, pumps and motorized systems and more.

Brian enjoys skiing, soccer, kiteboarding and sailing. In 2023, Brian competed in the Race to Alaska and despite day after day of gale force winds, he and his team completed the 750 mile run in just over seven days, finishing in fifth place.

  • Betsy Muir

    HAPPILY RETIRED

After many years of running the day to day operations of Muir Engineering, Betsy retired in November 2024.

Never one to slow down, between walking/running with Tiller, working in her fabulous garden, tap dancing, sailing and wing foiling, Betsy is busier than ever!
