Strata Services:
Electrical Planning Reports (EPRs) & EV Ready Plans
Muir Engineering assists strata corporations and property managers with Electrical Planning Reports (EPRs) and EV Ready Plans in accordance with British Columbia’s updated Strata Property Regulation and EV charging infrastructure initiatives.
As electrical demands continue to increase within multi-family residential buildings, many stratas are looking to better understand the capacity and limitations of their existing electrical systems — particularly as electric vehicle adoption grows. Our team helps stratas assess their current infrastructure and develop practical plans for future electrical upgrades.
We work closely with strata councils, property managers, contractors, and utility providers to prepare clear and actionable reports that support long-term planning and informed decision-making.
Our services may include:
Electrical Planning Reports (EPRs)
EV Ready Plans (up to $3,000 rebate from BC Hydro)
Existing electrical infrastructure assessments
Load calculations and capacity analysis
EV charging feasibility studies
Infrastructure upgrade recommendations
Coordination with BC Hydro and local utilities
Support for rebate and incentive applications
Our goal is to help stratas understand their building’s electrical capacity, identify future upgrade requirements, and develop scalable solutions that support both current and future electrical needs.
We provide Strata Planning Reports, Electrical Planning Reports, and EV Ready Plans across Vancouver Island, the Gulf Island and the Comox/Courtenay area.
